Faces of the Night

January 20, 2010 § 1 Comment

With a theme of “night” I tried to work with light and shadows, especially in regards to people’s faces.  Using a flashlight, I tried creating different shadow patterns and lighting effects on my subjects’ faces.  The portraits were set in black and white with the eyes remaining in color.  Sometimes the black and white effect didn’t really work so it ended up just being a lighter shade of the original picture, but I like the turnout regardless.  Leanna and I also had the reoccurring sultry theme pop up when she volunteered to pose for me outside with a car.  Shoots with her are always the most memorable.
